On the 17th of November 2019 the second annual championship of Japan Karate Do Itosu Kai - Switzerland took place in Kilchberg, Zurich. Our respectable chief guest and chief referee Sensei R.J. Alexander came all the way from Sri Lanka to encourage the Switzerland Team.

The championship organizing committee of Switzerland branch tried the best to experience a welcoming and sporty atmosphere due the entire tournament. Even if we had some hurdles, it was a wonderful and familiar tournament. We were able to recognize new young talents.

Our Sensei V.Gowridhasan was honored with his 5th dan (Godan) from the Swiss Karate Federation (SKF). We have introduced Champions Flag (Yusho-ki). The dojo Zurich as overall champion took the Yusho-ki.

We are looking forward for a even better 3rd annual championship in Bern capital of Switzerland 2020.
