The Asian Karate Championship was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan from the 13th to the 22nd of December 2021. More than 500 athletes from 30 Asian countries participated in this championship competition. Mr. R.J. Alexander, Chief Instructor, Japan Karatedo Itosukai Sri Lanka has participated in the Asian Referee renewal examination held concurrently with the Asian Karate Championship in Kazakhastan. Alexander is the Chairman of the National Referee Commission of the Sri Lanka Karate Do Federation and the Chairman of the South Asian Regional Federation referee Commission which is under the Asian Karate Federation.
